Mobile networks are expanding rapidly as operators deliver new services of multimedia and Internet to their customers, while continuing to support voice services.

 

Mobile networks which operate under SDH/SONET technology, provide a high level of survivability and availability, inherent in the protection mechanism of SDH/SONET.

 

Using the Radio Ring solution, network manageability and survivability is enhanced. The network can be managed from one central station and supports performance-monitoring functionality down to the termination point of the transmission network. The bandwidth requirement of a typical BTS today is several E1/T1s.
